Besides from frustration with paypal and FB (still love you guys...mostly) - my week went ok. How did yours go? I do get a little frustrated though as well with #realtors who still don't see that marketing/branding/promotion is what we are talking about when we talk about creating #content. I spend a good amount of my time preaching and teaching to close that gap of thinking between the two. Content creation has for some reason been dissociated from what it really is - marketing and branding in our current digital culture. We also kicked off our #SHIFT 2.0 season this past friday. We are going to have a Q&A panel format for this year, and I'm excited to see what kind of value we can bring to our online audience each month. While I had Nick Sowers, a business partner of mine and local Broker along with Paul Stecker from the mortgage industry world, we each brought some unique thoughts and perspective to the current state of our economic market and our experience with past down cycles and what we see moving forward. --

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like #Vlogmas! | EP 87 | Thee Eagle Reality

My videographer was so happy to get past Thanksgiving so we could (more rightly) focus on Christmas season! That means getting the office decorated, getting our #vlogmas filming schedule rolling, and spreading christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear! That was....until she decided to throw/drop her camera. So, you improvise. And she still rocked this awesome #VLOG for you! The show must go on! And it did. Enjoyed this week of marketing and content training with our Eagle Realty agents, some repairs at a clients property, meetings to bring some value, and obviously a little re-decorating in the office! -- http://www.DiscoverEagleRealty.com – Career

Eagle Realty 2019 #SquadGoals | EP 84 | Thee Eagle Reality

The centerpiece of this week was really the company goals we laid out for 2019 for Eagle Realty in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Every year we do our meeting that is really the culmination of individual one-on-one meetings to determine a direction and outline of where our company is, and where we are heading for the coming year. 2018 was on point! Now on to 2019 to be even better! Reconstruction in the office is going well, buyers are starting to creep out of hiding from the storms, and I am getting opportunities to build companies and brands in the area. And, my videographer is apparently ready to start Christmas before Thanksgiving has even come yet. * kind of frustrating * Lastly, the #shift in the #realestate industry is not something to be ignored - and at Eagle, we won't.

Another Freaking Hurricane... So Might As Well Brand More | EP 80 | Thee Eagle Reality

Well, luckily hurricane Michael didn't show it's teeth in the carolinas. We are praying for the devastation in the pan handle of Florida though. But really, WTH! What is with all these storms! Ok, time to breath and calm down. And, time to get back to #marketing and #branding. Branding (the long game) can get lost in the shuffle in #realestate activity for most realtors, especially when things are busy and sales are rocking (like they have most of 2018). But when things slow down, like they have in the past 30 days in SC, it gives us time to really evaluate our branding efforts as Realtor professionals. Time for your Q4 to really ramp up and create momentum for your branding for the rest of 2018 and moving into 2019. --

Florence, You Suck! | EP 76 | Thee Eagle Reality

#HurricaneFlorence, you suck! We are still dealing with the aftermath of hurricane florence that swept through the Carolinas a couple weeks ago now, but in this #vlog episode you see how even though "she" settled down by the time it got to the coast, we still had some (sorta) unexpected fall out - literally. Trying to get back to normal work schedule in #realestate around the area, check on my clients properties, get back to work...but school out, roads blocked, office ceilings falling in - some stuff to deal with! In #realestate, like in all #business - you can never stop learning, growing, expanding your knowledge, or enhancing your craft. To stand out from the competition, to really win, you keep moving forward and growing. Learn this early, and you will build a legacy of impact on those around you, not just a great business. Leaving It All Behind | EP 66 | Thee Eagle Reality

...or am I? Of course I'm not - this is my life, my passion, my career, and my business. There is no quit or leave in my vocabulary. This week was a whirl wind of new listings, lot's of #Loris, SC time, basketball camp for my little girl, and bucket list actions like getting #bears tickets for a home game in Chicago in October. In fact, that is the highlight of the week in my mind! Well, maybe not the highlight considering I sold one of my new Loris, SC #listings in 48 hours. Welcome to a sellers market in Myrtle Beach, SC. What a great summer in #realestate - maybe it's time you join in! --

Mimosa Moments | EP 65 | Thee Eagle Reality It's #CatchUpWeek. Coming back from any holiday causes my to-do list to grow bigger. However, because it's summer I've really only got 2 days to get everything taken care of. That being said, this episode is a good expanse and summation of what that would look like. From taking photos of a hard to find empty lot listing in Tidewater #NorthMyrtleBeach, to drinking mimosas in a broker open house, this week has been a lot of fun! We also got #REAL and talked about how important it is to give value with your content. Sure, some content sound be more "conceited" to get your name out there, your face out there, and brand your company. However, the majority of your content should bring value to the audience in some way whether by direct or indirect means. Maybe it's time to analyze your content. Are you bringing #value to your audience?

A Red Solo Cup Type Of Week | EP 62 | Thee Eagle Reality

I mean - I swear it was just coffee :) - but when you run out of coffee cups you gotta do what you gotta do...To be honest, it was a pretty great week so no day-drinking needed haha!! (except for the days I worked by the pool! Ahh, the benefits of summer time realtor work in North Myrtle Beach, SC.) I loved the fact I got to re-unite with a long lost friend, Guppy. I love the #realtorlife work I had going on all week. And I love that I got julian doing some real work. Great week in real estate here in the Myrtle Beach area, how about where you live? They Are Taking Over The Office! | EP 61 | Thee Eagle Reality Ok, round 2 of summer vacation #vlog - and now a new kid is in the mix. At least I can get some production out of this one...I think. Though I kind of think Julian treats it like a real life episode of The Office...and I'm Michael Scott. Oh my, will he ever learn. To be honest, I like Julian, my son, getting some real world office experience. He may think it is just another household chore, but this is a real opportunity for him to see what Dad does in his real estate day. Of course, not the day-to-day of realtor life, but at least the office side of running a company(s). Staying on top of the latest trends in home decor isn't for everyone, but even for traditionalists, it can be fun to incorporate some new ideas. Here are five bathroom decor trends that are appearing in 2017.

  1. Geometric Patterns: Many homeowners are selecting bold patterns in geometric shapes, like chevrons, triangles, or hexagons. These patterns can add intrigue and continuity to your tile or shower curtain.
  2. Plants: Even the best-designed bathrooms can benefit from some small plants. If you have a windowless bathroom, there are some low-light options that can survive with little maintenance.
  3. Dark Colors: This can be tricky to achieve, but it comes with a big pay off. While traditional bathrooms are often painted with brighter whites and greys, opting for darker colors can make a bathroom seem more luxurious and relaxing. Imagine sinking into a deep bath with dim lighting—that might convey the appeal of a darker palette.
  4. Brass Hardware: Trends often come back around, and this year, brass fixtures of the '70s are popular once again.
  5. Minimalism: The massive master bathroom is still great, but there's also some appeal in smaller bathroom designs. Minimalism allows for smaller spaces to feel more intimate, but still airy and open.

North Myrtle Beach Homes For Sale - AVOID THESE TWO BIG MORTGAGE MISTAKES

We all know that searching for and viewing potential homes is the fun part of the home-buying process. The not-so-fun part? The mortgage.

But if you don't pay attention to the details, your mortgage can end up dragging down the enjoyment of your new home and cause some major regrets. Here are a few mistakes to avoid to ensure that you love your mortgage terms as much as your hew home.

Don't find your home first: Shopping around for the best mortgage rate should be the first step in the home buying process. You may even want to talk to a mortgage broker a full year before you plan to buy. It'll give you time to get your affairs in order to qualify for the best rate, could save you thousands of dollars in the long run, and you won't feel rushed to accept an unattractive loan because you're worried you'll miss out on your dream home.

Don't forget your real budget: There's often a big difference between what a lender says you can afford and what you can actually afford. Your debt-to-income ratio doesn't include the money you spend on hobbies, or the cost of commuting to work, or maintenance and utility costs. Really sit down and examine your spending before committing to the loan amount the lender is offering. You won't enjoy your home nearly as much if it's eating into your favorite hobbies.

RECONSIDER THESE CHOICES WHEN YOU'RE DESIGNING YOUR KITCHEN

The kitchen is one area of the home that sees the most wear and tear. All the water, heat, and food spills add up quickly so it's important to focus on quality and lasting appeal when you're choosing materials for a kitchen remodel. Here are a few things you should avoid:

Cheap Laminate Countertops: The bottom rung of laminate is extremely susceptible to wear and tear. It can melt if you forget to place a hot pad under a pan that's fresh out of the oven and the edges can chip off from repeated exposure to moisture and heat.

Flat Paint: A flat or matte finish is great in rooms with lower traffic, but it's a bad idea in the kitchen where the walls are regularly exposed to splatters and spills. You need paint that can withstand an occasional heavy scrubbing, so opt for gloss or semi-gloss finishes.

Trendy Backsplash: If you watch any home remodeling show, you'll certainly see kitchens with expensive, elaborate backsplash designs and materials. Those trends can be pricey to pursue and can look dated in a hurry. Subway tile is a cheaper, classic option that you'll never regret, plus you'll have more room in your budget to purchase quality materials to be used elsewhere.

Cheap Flooring: Just like the countertops, your kitchen floor needs to be strong enough to take some abuse. Cheap flooring easily scuffs and peels (especially from moisture). Quality flooring is worth the investment.

The Supply & Demand Problem Plaguing New Construction

(from Keeping Current Matters BLOG content - http://www.keepingcurrentmatters.com/2017/06/21/the-supply-demand-problem-plaguing-new-construction/)

Many real estate economists have called on new home builders to ramp up production to help relieve the shortage of inventory of homes for sale throughout the United States. The added inventory would no doubt aid buyers in their search to secure their dream home, while also helping to ease price increases throughout the country.

Unfortunately for builders, there are many forces that are making it difficult for them to do just that!

Last week at the National Association of Real Estate Editors 51st Annual Conference,CoreLogic's Chief Economist Frank Nothaft broke down the 4 'L's of New Home Construction: Lots, Labor, Lumber, and Lending.

The concept of supply and demand is ripe in the new home construction industry. The four 'L's of new home construction are each suffering a supply problem, and with that comes added costs. Let's break it down!

Lots – There is a shortage of land near metros at an affordable price, causing builders to move farther and farther away from cities to keep costs down. This isn't always an attractive option for those who want to stay close to work.

Labor – The Great Recession forced many skilled construction and trade workers to find other sources of income once their jobs were lost at the time of the crash. Even though the overall housing market has recovered, these workers have not returned. Those who remain are starting to age out and retire, causing even more of a shortage and additional costs.

Lumber – The cost to build a new home is directly tied to the cost of the lot and the cost of the supplies needed to build the home. Lumber costs continue to escalate due to policies restricting the importation of Canadian lumber, making larger luxury homes an attractive option to recoup costs when selling, rather than building smaller single-family homes and making less profit.

Below is a graph showing the increase in cost of 1,000 board feet of framing lumber.

The Supply & Demand Problem Plaguing New Construction | Keeping Current Matters

Year-over-year, lumber costs are up 13% after reaching a high of $433 in the second week of April.

Lending – During the Great Recession, many small community banks were forced to close their doors. These banks were a great source of capital and lending for builders looking to borrow money at a low interest rate in the community in which they were building. Tougher lending standards have made borrowing funds more expensive and more difficult for builders.

Is the Current Pace of Home Sales Maintainable?

KCM just realized a blog post talking about the current state of home sale - you can read and exert below:

"There are some experts questioning whether the current pace of residential home sales is maintainable. Are too many people buying homes like in 2004-2006? Are we headed for another housing crisis? Actually, if we look closely at the numbers, we can see that we are looking at a very healthy real estate market.

Why the concern?

Some are looking at the last four years of home sales and comparing them to the three years just prior to the housing bubble. Looking at the graph below, we can understand that thinking." - read more - click http://www.keepingcurrentmatters.com/2017/05/01/is-the-current-pace-of-home-sales-maintainable/?utm_campaign=Blog_Promo&utm_medium=email&utm_source=email-automated&utm_content=DailyBlogSubscription&utm_term=BlogPost

Based on there chart, when you take our the BOOM and CRASH years, we seem to be on steady pace with previous decade increases....what do you think?

  1. Meet with a real estate professional: Discuss the type of home you're looking for, including style, price, and location.
  2. The Buyer's Advantage: As the home buyer, your agent's commission is paid by the seller of the home in almost all circumstances. This means your representation costs you nothing!
  3. Get Pre-Approved: You will need pay stubs, W2s, and bank statements. Knowing what you can afford is critical to a successful home shopping experience
  4. Search for Homes: The fun part! Your agent will schedule showings and help you find the perfect home.
  5. Advanced Search: Not all real estate websites are the same. Your real estate professional has tools and systems to ensure you see every available home that meets your criteria.
  6. Make an Offer: Your agent will prepare your offer based on the price and terms you choose.
  7. Negotiation and Contract: It may take a few tries to get it just right, but hang in there. You're on your way!
  8. The Contract: In most cases the contract provides you with a timeline to obtain financing as well as time to inspect the physical condition of the home. Your real estate professional will inform you of all your rights and responsibilities related to the contract.
  9. Under Contract or In Escrow: You and the seller have agreed to the price and terms. The home is effectively held for you until closing.
  10. Final Details: Perform due diligence, order the appraisal, conduct an inspection, and review terms with the lender.
  11. Preparing for Closing: You will be finalizing your loan, reviewing documents, and discussing the findings from the inspection. Your agent will manage this entire process for you.
  12. Closing: This is the transfer of funds and ownership. A title company or an attorney typically acts as an independent third party to facilitate the closing.

We talked about engagement last time with our audiences on various social media platforms.  But before we engage, we need an audience to engage with.  Follower, fan, etc growth is a key factor when using social media for long term marketing stragey.  We need audience, and more than that we need attention of the audience (but that is a different topic).  Getting an audience comes in a couple ways...

From an organic stand point, you want to grow steady and slow - starting with your network, family, friends.  Follow them, they follow back - etc.  From there, the opportunity for exponentially webbing out your network through your closer "circle" connections is easier because you have common "friends" or "connections" in common to bring them into your network.  I speak here for any platform - facebook, instagram, twitter, etc.

Then, you want to follow influencers.  Not just famous people, but people who have a base of people that are the people or "audience" you want to have.  Connect with them, then connect to their fan base as well.

You also have the pay per "like" route for facebook.  The #hashtag strategy for instagram.  The re-tweet/like route for twitter.  And as far as Pinterest/Linkedin/Snap you have developing ways of connecting that are evolving both organically and monetized ways.

Each platform has various ways to grow your audience base but here are 2 things to remember:

1. good content will always gain a larger audience

2. see rule #1

When is comes to social media marketing, especially as realtors, we hear: content is king.  No doubt, without quality and relevant content, you're really not using social media in the correct way.  To get noticed, to gain attention, you have to put out stuff that people pay attention to, and not just scroll past.  That is all true - but that is only half the battle (well maybe more like 80%....etc)

What happens next is really the gauge on whether you are turning your SMM (social media marketing) into lead conversion.  The word of the day: Engagement.  Without engagement with your content, and engagement between you and those consuming your content, its just content out on the web. (which las ti checked, there is plenty of)

When we talk about engagement of your content, that would include the: likes, shares, impressions (somewhat), comments, watches, pins, etc.  The consumption and interaction with your content = engagement.

Now, the next step if you engaging with the engagement.  All those people who just angaged with your content are potential customers you need to connect with.  Through commenting back to those that commented, thanking people for re-tweets, showing appreciation for likes and shares...whatever you have to do to show people you are paying attention to those that consume your content and that you desire genuine interaction.  Thats what social platforms can provide.  Making the world a smaller place, so that your business can be "small town" in a "big world".

Some of you will read that title and instantly think "speed".  While there is a sense in quick paced forward motion that is semantically linked to "hustle", that is not the intent of my message here.  Have you ever read or heard the story of the "tortise & the hare"? Of course you have...and what did you learn?

You learned slow and stead wins the race.  Well, what about the next level?  What about fast and steady?  AKA, Hustle.  Did you ever think about if the rabbit would have kept up his pace and a steady (constant) rate?  Blow Out, right?  It wasnt really the turtle's slow and steady that won, it was the rabbit's lack of consistency.

Business is no different.  In fact, it is exaclty relatable.  A Pace that puts you in front of your competition, and one that you maintain with consistency, will always net you a win.  Or, success.  "Hustle" isnt about the pace - its about the conistency and the pace.  Does your business, career, idea, have both?

In the last "Being A Social Realtor" post we talked about communicating to your audience where they are at.  That entails really knowing the demogrpahics and users on each platform.  That takes some grind to and research to really know each platform.  And if you are going to communicate on it, trying to be both organic in your reach and growth and native in your content is key.

Many of you in the social media world know that i am talking about in that last sentence  But many dont.  This article is more for them.  In fact, if you are well versed in social media content marketing and creation, you probably want to stop reading...and on the other hand, i know a company hiring in the Carolina's you might want to check out - www.CarolinaSocialMedia.com

For the rest fo us, organic growth and native content, lets look into what the means:

Organic Growth - pretty simply, dont use gimmicks or pay for followers.  While Facebook Ads are acceptable to gain page growth because you can demographically target the audience you want to reach, paying for follower growth servies on twitter and instagram, for example, is frowned upon and really doesnt help you in the long run with your efforts of reach and marketing and conversion.

Native Content - each social media plaform has a language.  Understanding how to speak and put out content that matches that language is a learned skill.  A picture that gains 50 likes on Instagram may barely get noticed on twitter - a 5 minute video on YouTube may not get the views on Facebook.  A Pinterest cover photo to a blog/article may get better click thru's rather than when shared on instagram.  Knowing (and trying) to find what works langauge (content) wise is a skill that must be honed and improved over and over again.

Next time we will talk about not forgetting to "engage" with your audience -

Entrepreneur Fitness - EP 2 - Special Memorial Day Edition

Staying #FitFor the holiday - just because it is a holiday we know we need to stay working, grinding, and fit.  That doesn't mean taking a break to relax and have a cook out with family.  Especially on Memorial Day, it's a must.  And it for sure doesn't mean not taking a time-out to remember the brave mena nd women that have served and sacrificed to protect our country, the USA, and those that still fight for our nation.  We always remember and never forget those who gave everything for this country.

I took time to do a #crossfit workout called #Murph - a Hero WOD consisting of:

1 mile run

If you dont get that, then you have missed the point of business. Maybe of life if we want to get really philosophical for a moment. When we deem someone into "client" status, there is responsibility that comes along with that and an understanding of the creation of relationship that needs to addressed for a successful business to endure. No matter the industry, this needs to be taken to heart.

Personally, my real estate business is a great picture of how this plays off. Without genuine relationship with each client, its simply transaction management. Maybe that what some people want, some Realtors even. Just pure numbers game. But for me personally, I take the stance that each person i work with doesnt represent one transaction, but rather a network of business over the span of my career. To view it like that requires me to develop enough relationship that I become a part of my clients world whenever real estate is the topic. Whether it comes up for themselves, a co-worker, a family member, etc.

In every industry, a deeper understanding of client relationships can only improve the long term success of every business. Even when your company is running BIG numbers, to build a legacy of quality brand and success, the truth is their will be genuine correlation between how much "good" relationship there is between you (your business) and your clients.

When it comes down to the foundations of good business...rather, Great Business...what do you find?  I guarantee, that one core value will be communication.  At our company, we believe it so strongly for Realtors, that it is a "key value" in our manifesto.  You hear a lot of about "relationships" in business, but without communication those relationships would not exist.

Here's the thing - communication comes in many shapes and forms and mediums due to the ever increasing platforms of social media.  You do realize that our social platforms, while relational, are only relational because they provide a means of communication between their users.  So how does this apply to Real Estate and our business?

Communicate with your audience where they are.  Its that simple.  You see their twitter account super active, DM them...if always posting and engaging on Facebook, private message them.  Are they a Snapchat enthusiast, chat at them.  The point is finding a way to communicate in their world so that they are more likely to communicate back.  Some of this is trial and error.  If you call them, they don't answer, try texting.  No response, a quick email.  Nothing?  Find them on social media and shoot a message....if you want their attention and business, you're going to have to put some effort and focus on communicating on multiple platforms and mediums.

In real estate especially, we are dealing with multiple generations and demographics - the only way to increase your business and success is to vary and grow how and where we communicate.  www.DiscoverEagleRealty.info

I have had the privelege of chapreroning my 7th grade son's band field trip to Williamsburg, VA.  We got to go on a ghost tour in downtown colonial Wiliamsburg, my first time in the area, and it made for some great pictures and an interesting experience.  Now if you want to hear and experience what we did i reccomend you book a trip.  I wont go deep into my individual experience, at least not for the purposes of this blog.  But, i do want to make an observation:  As the ghost tour guide told stories of expereince and the experience of others at various locations and homes around the town, i realized our social media marketing is really story telling.

Whether you mean to or not, you are weaving a stroy with every tweet, blog, video, post - and the best salesman are the best story tellers.  So my questions is, how intentional are you?  If you havent realized you're a story teller, well now you do...and how will that change how you use the different social platforms?  How will your story (post) engage your audience, capture their attentions, draw them in, or cause them to action? Describing a new listing - sharing a market update - fun at your latest networking event.  You are a story teller and author to multiple audiences looking to buy in to the right content (story).

So think about this next time you post - the best story you ever heard, what drew you in?

Not all Social Media platforms are the same - i know as a Realtor, your probably know that.  But then why do we act in the opposite of our knowledge.  At the core, its most likely because we say we believe it, but we dont.  A video posted to both Youtube and Facebook...a picture on intagram and snapchat..a tweet and a blog (well, at least that one i hope you get the difference).  Heres the thing - while efficiency screams at us to re-post everywhere, the real strategy is being able to use the same content, but create strings of native posts from it that match each platform's unique audience and demographics for the best reach and response.

My first suggestion is this - Start with either a blog or video.  If you can make one, you can most likely create the other. - Though those who choose the Blogging medium may not feel they have the onscreen personality to make a video - or editing ability - or maybe a good voice over (guess what, thats why there is Fiverr.com )...but really, a blog or video is the longest bit of content from which you can draw smaller native posts and content from for the other platforms.

Next time, we wil talk about splitting off those "parts" from the whole

#GaryVee made a good point in his newest book - "ideas are (crap), execution is everything" - Listen to coaches like Tom Ferry or Alex Charfen the main idea that screams through all the content is "DO!" Do, Do, Do - keep hustling, keep looking for the opportunities, keep moving forward....create, execute, evaluate, then repeat.

Social Media and our internet culutre has led some people to believe that there is a magic formula where you dont have to work at a great idea you have and you instnatly become a billionare...with a B.  Or, that your marketing strategy can be isolated to some magic social platform that will net you a 1000% ROI for your minimal efforts.

If anything, Social Media Marketing has taught us just the opposite.  Your competition has gotten larger and the attention span of your audience smaller.  There is constant trial and error for ad creation, content boosting, post timing, boosting email open rates and click throughs...you name it.

The point?  Action wins...out hustle the competition, create more, execute more, evaluate more - and repeat.

There is so much good content on social media marketing for realtors out there.  Sometimes concise and sometime overwhelming.  Through it all, i think the main foundational idea is social media marketing is not a fad, but rather an important component of your marketing strategy in real estate.  Its not something you can ignore if real estate is your long term passion and career.  It is a part of our culture, just like computers, internet, emails, smart phones.  Its a basis of communication with clients and prospects.  You can no longer ignore it or say you don't like.

Here is the thing though - you don't have to know everything or be an expert on every platform from the start.  NO ONE KNOW ALL ABOUT SOCIAL MEDIA.  And new platforms are created every day.  So be patient, start with what you know and what you will use consistently.  Just don't stay in the dark about it...

Sometimes it is easy to forget that as a REALTOR, you are hiring your company even more than they are hiring you.  Your decision of where to join to grow your business will have a direct impact on the growth curve OF your business.  So what does that mean?

1.  Did you connect with the Broker or Manager in such a way you would feel comfortable utilizing their support (and did they seem ready to provide support when you need it)?

2. What is the company going to provide you?

3. Is the compenastion plan one that will grow your business at the right pace?

4. Is there enough flexibility and freedom to allow you to be both successful and remain passionate about your career?

If you answer those 4 questions, it is more likely you will find a team and company where you can THRIVE in Your Real Estate Career! www.DiscoverEagleRealty.info

I think we need to be a little honest.  As a real estate agent, we have the luxury of being able to take time out of our day to get some Christmas shopping done, write off some of our gifts to clients on our taxes, and most likely help out at our kids school events during the busy Holiday rush!  In fact, as a Realtor in the 21st century, you should be able to somewhat work while doing any one of these things with access to your phone and your zipfroms, esignature accounts, email, dropbox, text, SMM, etc!!

What an awesome career we have in real estate!  What a blessing to be in this business during the holidays!  Give thanks for your career, give thanks for your family, give thanks in this Christmas season that you can give not just resources, but your time!  What a great 2015 it has been - and I can't wait for what 2016 holds for our Industry!

I really wish i would have thought to wrtie this before Halloween - it would have been catchy.  Oh well...it kind of seems counter intuitive to talk about having "fear" in your career.  Shouldn't we be fearless?  Well, as a great man once said, "Courage is not the abscence of fear, but rather acting in spite of our fear"...or something like that.  In Real Estate, we can have alot of fears about our career. Whether getting started, the learning curve, no salary to count on, being able to self-motivate every day, keeping deals together, dealing with problem clients, asking for business, and the list goes on and on.  But, all those fears are also the greatest source of making a successful career.  When we operate in spite of the fear and press forward, we find we CAN be successful!  At Eagle Realty, we want to encourage you that you can be a success.  You can still have some fear and be great!  The fear in your career will motivate you to move forward in courageous ways to help more people, get more business, and achieve goals and success you dreamed of at the start.  W can help - www.DiscoverEagleRealty.info

Before being subdued for the Holiday Season of 2015, where your work starts to take a back seat to the distractions and activities of the end of the year - i implore you to gear up and hit the gas pedal!  Take advantage of other Reatlors slacking in your local market, like north myrtle beach!  Ramp up farming efforts, network and contact past clients, ask for new business - now is the time where you have a great intro ("ready for the holidays"?) to open up a conversation, or send something of value to your database and farm areas.  Tell investors that they have opportunity to buy at a slow season of the market.  Create value with year end "Neighborhood Home Value Reports for 2015" (for example) -

I believe you can head into 2016 by closing out 2015 with a ton of momentum!  And most importnatly - evaluate your current business conditions?  Does a change help or hurt your real estate career?  Something to consider as you take stock and evaluate your 2015 real estate business!

It comes faster than you can imagine - the next, newest social media tool or app for your business.  Everyone is the best and everyone of them you have to get in on because they are the latest and greatest thing to grow your real estate business, right?  But if you are constantly jumping "next" are you missing out on the "now"?

Most social media marketers will repeat 1 thing about using social media in your marketing strategy - "use what you like, and what you will use consistently".  The biggest thing about using social media is using it in such way that your content is native and frequent.  Which means, it needs to be something you are familiar with and will use daily.

So start there - yes you will want to grow and use multiple social platforms eventually, but start with consistency - check out this video for a crash intro into social media strategy!
